Our products featuring the EMICODE label are low-emission/environmentally compatible. The EMICODE classification system awards labels to construction products that comply with the very stringent health and environmental requirements of recognised institutes.

Notice

CERAfix 101 must be dry before the next coat is applied. Cover surfaces not to be treated (e.g. windows and doors) prior to application. Surface must not be sticky when further work is carried out! Do not work 'wet on wet'. Protect from frost.

Recognised technical regulations apply along with current standards and ZDB information leaflets.

EMICODE EC1plus: Very low emissions: The EMICODE classification system distinguishes the environmental and health compatibility of construction products. The lowest-emission products bear the EC1plus mark.

Application area

CERAfix 101 is used to prime absorbent and slightly sandy substrates made from cement and gypsum materials, concrete, plaster, masonry etc. CERAfix 101 improves adhesion, bonds builder's dust and has a solidifying effect on the substrate. Reliable at reducing substrate absorbency, thereby preventing the rapid extraction of water from fillers and tile adhesives. CERAfix 101 is used as a primer system for CERAfix seals, filler and compensating compounds and for tile adhesives in indoor and outdoor applications.

When using on calcium sulphate screeds (CA, CAF), please apply a second primer coat using CF 104.

Instructions

The substrate must be solid, load-bearing, clean, dry and free from separating substances. The material is applied with a brush or a fine-pore foam roller. Material consumption: approx. 200 g/m2. Oversaturation of the surface or puddling must be avoided. Allow CERAfix 101 to dry fully before carrying out further work. When CERAfix 101 is applied by spraying, roll or brush it again when freshly laid. Allow CERAfix 101 to dry fully before proceeding with additional steps.

Surface:

The substrate must be solid, load-bearing, clean, dry and free from separating substances. Separating materials or layers such as layers of sinter, dust, oil, rubber abrasion, paints etc. must be removed with suitable measures such as blasting, milling, sanding, suction and/or removal of oil. The surface must have sufficient load-bearing capacity for the active loads - refer to DIN 1055. The requirements regarding surface tensile strength are in line with the intended purpose. Observe the prescribed residual moistures for subsequent coverings. When doing so, ensure that the permitted residual moisture content is observed in accordance with the latest technical leaflets. The CM measurement must be conducted in accordance with the current work instruction "Interface coordination for heated floor constructions". Subsequent moisture ingress must be prevented. During application and in the week after, the air, material and surface temperature must not exceed +5 °C.
