The tape is impermeable to driving rain but in the case of pressurised or standing water (e.g. horizontally at the top) it must be further sealed from the outside with aluminium foil-laminated butyl tape provided the joint is not covered immediately after installation. A second water-draining layer (tub-shaped sealing film) must be created in the lower connection area so that water is drained away to the outside in a controlled manner. The expansion speed of VKP Trio 600 SF depends on the temperature. In high temperatures, store the tape in a cool location; in low temperatures, store in a warm location.

For installing construction elements with a narrow joint depth. For example when installing elements that only sit partly in the reveal such as those combined with thermal insulation composite systems or prefabricated facades.
Preparation
- Clean any dirt from the surfaces.
- Cut off approx. 2 cm from the beginning and end of the tape.
- Allow approx. 2 cm/m of extra length when cutting the tape to size.
Installation on windows
- Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive strip and stick the tape to the window profile.
- The inside/outside installation direction can be freely selected.
Appearance in the corner area
- The tape is butt-jointed at the corners and must be compressed longitudinally.
- Leaks must be prevented. Seal with Flexband adhesive, Wütop film adhesive or All-In-One connection adhesive, if available.
