The GEOMET 321A + PLUS VL coating is a non-electrolytic, aluminium grey, thin-layer coating consisting of zinc and aluminium flake together with a transparent top layer.

Layer thickness: 6 to 8 μm
Friction coefficient: 0.09 to 0.14


Advantages of the GEOMET 321A + PLUS VL coating:

Free from chromium(VI) and other substances that are harmful to health
Complies with the EU End of Life Vehicles Directive.
Very high corrosion resistance =720 h salt spray test in accordance with ISO 9227/DIN 50021 (compared to yellow zinc plated A2C - 72 h)
Resistant to automotive fluids (standard fuels, diesel, engine oil, coolant etc.)
Water-based
Resistant to contact corrosion
Heat-resistant to at least 300 °C
Very good paint adhesion

DIN 931 has been withdrawn and replaced by ISO 4014. There is some similarity (nominal dimensions extended | width across flats changed for M10, M12, M14 and M22).
