Application area

To be used specifically to prevent ignition problems caused by moisture in vehicles and in other low-voltage ignition systems. Cleaning the exterior of ignition cables, the distributor cap and connectors with contact spray acts as a preventive measure against ignition problems caused by moisture. The many small droplets of water that form on the ignition system in cold, damp weather cause voltage discharge to earth, thus reducing the ignition voltage. The reduction in ignition voltage can cause starting difficulties or can even prevent the vehicle from starting at all, especially when combined with very cold conditions and a weak starter battery. The formation of water droplets is encouraged by the presence of dirt and oil. Spraying components with contact spray can provide immediate assistance for this problem.

Instructions

Briefly spray the entire ignition system in the engine compartment; if necessary, also spray a very thin layer on the inside of the distributor cap. Allow a penetration time of 1 to 2 minutes before starting the system. Do not use the contact spray when the engine is running. Risk of ignition!
