The WÜTOP Thermo ND Plus is a highly water-vapour-permeable polyester-based roofing underlay with a special coating. It is laid directly on the thermal insulation or formwork of ventilated and non-ventilated pitched roofs.
Perforation-proof in accordance with ETA-17/0206
Featuring as per ETA 17/0206: Perforation-proof fixing points of screws and nails.
The WÜTOP Thermo ND Plus is perforation-proof at the fixing point on a full-surface, pressure-resistant contact surface; no additional nail sealing material is required for protection against perforation.
Technology
Non-woven polyester fleece with special coating.
Safety
Polyester is an extremely weather-resistant material offering excellent resistance to UV radiation with a temperature resistance up to 120 °C. The special coating is non-slip and can be securely bonded.
Saves time and money
Self-seals around nail punctures, saving huge amounts of time and money. Integrated self-adhesive strips for easy and fast installation.
Special version for slate
Suitable as a preliminary covering for slate roofs according to the ZVDH (Central Association of the German Roofing Trade).
UDB/USB roofing underlay
Meets the requirements of the ZVDH (Central Association of the German Roofing Trade) product data sheet for class UDB/USB roofing underlay
Perforation-proof in accordance with ETA-17/0206
In accordance with the test certificate of Technische Universität Berlin and the test reports nos. P-06-186-2015 and P-06-187-2015 of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics - in each case, based on DIN EN 13111; 2001-08 - the product may be classified as perforation-proof (nail-proof) and resistant to driving rain as defined by these test reports. Note: Both systems were tested for test reports P-6-186-2015 (without nail sealing tape) and P-6-187/2015 (with nail sealing tape). The Wütop Thermo ND Plus has demonstrated sufficient resistance to nail punctures. The following construction-related conditions must be met:
- Fasten counter battens (30/50) with min. 3.1 x 90 nails (smooth) or 2.8 x 80 (grooved) (worst case with regard to fasteners)
- Install dry counter battens. (S10, <20M%)
- No staples in the membrane surface; alternatively, these staple points can be sealed afterwards with a suitable adhesive tape.
- Featuring as per ETA 17/0206: Perforation-proof fixing points of screws and nails
Please note the installation instructions for this product.

| Hail resistance | |||||
| The hail impact test in accordance with DIN EN 13583 serves to determine the resistance of roof membranes to hail. The term "hail resistance" refers to the European test method in accordance with EN 13583. The construction is shot with a polyamide ball (PA 6.6) with a diameter of 40 mm and a mass of 38.5 g. The evaluation is based on the lowest damage rate (Vd in m/s). This indicates the maximum impact speed at which the design remains leakproof and no damage or perforation of the roof membrane occurs. The hail resistance is expressed in classes that are described by the test parameters. The higher the class, the higher the test load. | |||||
