Datasheets(X)
- For indoor and outdoor use
- For floors
- As a bonding bridge on the back of thin natural stone tiles
- As a slurry primer for natural stone slabs
- Contact slurry for laying natural stone and stoneware, with edge lengths ≤ 30 cm, using thick-bed or medium-bed processes, on a cement-based screed and drainage mortar, also for components which will later be exposed to de-icing salt
- In a clean container, mix the dry mortar into 0.25 l/kg of clean, cold tap water for approx. 3 minutes until lump-free, malleable and homogeneous.
- The quantity of water added can be varied slightly to adjust the consistency for the type, weight and size of tile.
- It is recommended to use a 600 rpm mixer with a spiral stirrer.
- After a maturing time of approx. 3 minutes, stir again briefly.
- In the first step, use the smooth side of the steel trowel to scrape a thin contact layer onto the substrate (scratch coat).
- In the second step, use a suitable notched trowel to comb the malleable slurry primer onto the fresh scratch coat.
- Lay the natural stone slab into the fresh mortar bed before a skin forms. Slide in the slab to ensure a good bond.
- When laying natural stones with an edge length ≥ 30 cm, it is strongly recommended that the combined buttering/floating technique is used.
- When using the product as contact slurry for laying natural stone using the thick-bed process, the entire back of light-coloured translucent covering materials must be fully coated with TEGAfix 210 before laying
Caution:
Apply only as much slurry primer as is needed for the number of ceramic tiles and slabs etc. that can be pushed or placed into the fresh mortar bed while the mortar is still wet (fingertip test).
- Any slurry primer or laying mortar building up in the joint areas must be removed.
- Do not stir additional water into slurry primer that is firming up.
