Crystal clear, elastic SMP-based structural adhesive and sealant

100 % glass-like transparency particularly ideal for visible seals/adhesions

Broad adhesive range

  • Excellent adhesion to virtually all substrates, even if slightly damp

  • Not corrosive to metals

Excellent mechanical properties

  • Absorbs dynamic movements

  • Permanently elastic after curing

Good stability

Can be painted over

Free of isocyanates, phthalates, solvents and silicones

Our products featuring the EMICODE label are low emission/environmentally compatible. The EMICODE classification system awards labels to construction products that comply with the very stringent health and environmental requirements of recognised institutes.

Notice
  • Can be painted over using both acrylic and alkyd paint. With alkyd paint, drying can be delayed. Always test beforehand

  • Not suitable as a glazing sealant or for expansion joints

  • Not suitable for areas with permanent water load or for bonding aquariums

Do not use in applications involving contact with pre-compressed sealing tapes.

SMP adhesive sealant CLEAR is not suitable for adhesive bonding or filling cavities. Due to the large number of varnish and glazing formulations available, especially on alkyd resin paints and powder-coated aluminium, always carry out your own tests on the area first.

Cut off thread cap, screw on nozzle and cut to the required width. Apply the adhesive using a suitable application gun. Apply the adhesive evenly in vertical beads or blobs at intervals of 10 to 40 cm, depending on the weight of the material. Place the workpieces in the correct position within the skin formation time and press these together to ensure that the thickness of the adhesive is at least 2–3 mm between the material and surface. Fasten/press the parts together after joining until the functional strength is reached.
