Instructions
The operating conditions of the self-crosslinked PE-HDS (HD-X b S) embedded radiant heating system are described and specified in EN 15875. The pipe systems are categorised into application classes. These specify the maximum operating temperatures over a defined period (based on a life cycle of 50 years). The relevant permissible operating pressures should be taken from:
- Application class 4 (embedded heating systems)
- Operating temperatures: 20 °C for 2.5 years
- +40 °C for 20 years
- +60 °C for 25 years
- +70 °C for 2.5 years
- Malfunction temperature: 100 °C for up to 100 hours
