Variants
- The set contains a tube with special XLR-1 repair resin and an injector with seal.
- XLR-1 repair resin offers a highly effective capillary action and an optimal refractive index.
- This makes it perfect for repairing stone chips.
- One tube of XLR-1 is sufficient for approximately eight repairs.
Clean the windscreen to remove any contaminants from the surface, and avoid any liquid coming into contact with the area where the repair resin will be applied. The surfaces to be repaired must be dry and free from dust, grease and any other contaminants
Crystal-clear, liquid resin. Will not yellow when exposed to UV light. Suitable for repairing breakages that often contain hairline cracks that are difficult to fill. Using the supplied injector,
resin can be injected into the windscreen more easily than ordinary resins
Application without injector:
Stable resin that can be used as a finishing resin. Clearer results than with conventional finishing resins
Application of repair resin with injector:
- 1) Open the package, remove the injector and turn the injector plunger anti-clockwise by approximately 0.5 mm
- 2) Pour three to four drops of resin into the front part of the injector until it is up to the seal (white)
- 3) Screw the injector containing the resin into the injector holder until the injector is sealed flush against the windscreen
- 4) Twist the injector plunger down to inject resin (pressure stage)
- 5) After a few minutes, turn the plunger anti-clockwise to release the air inside the cracks (vacuum stage). Repeat the pressure and vacuum stages several times until the repair is complete
Application of resin as finishing resin:
1) Pour one or two drops of resin directly into the area to be repaired
2) Apply the special film, art.08914589, over the finishing resin
3) Cure the resin using a UV lamp with timer, art.08914581
4) Remove the film and the excess resin, then polish the area using polishing paste
