Safety harness systems can be flexibly installed on flat roofs with a roof pitch of up to 5° and without opening up the roof panelling with the ABS Weight OnTop Double. To facilitate this, the anchoring device is weighted with 16 concrete slabs (each 50 x 50 x 5 cm at 28 kg; not included in scope of delivery). The extra load is applied to a frame measuring just 150 x 150 cm and comprising tensioned PE fabric netting. This constitutes a distinct space saving over conventional applied load products.
With a total weight of 483 kg, the ABS Weight OnTop Double produces a roof load of 214.67 kg per m². Depending on the application, it functions as a restraint system or catching device. At the heart of the ABS Weight OnTop Double is a robust and weather-resistant aluminium frame with an attachment point in the centre made of plastic malleable stainless steel. The ABS Weight OnTop Double is tested as a securing device for simultaneous use by 2 persons in accordance with DIN EN 795:2012 and DIN CEN/TS 16415:2013. Reinforced with a support tube, the system serves as a carrier unit for curved elements or end brackets in safety harness systems.
