The test device consists of a test container for the test gas cylinder, a triggering lever with a sliding mechanism and an adapter for mounting on a corresponding picker rod.
The picker rods and the 918-5 test gas must be ordered separately. Caution: The P-250 test gas does not fit into the test device.

- Insert the test aerosol 918-5 bottle into the FDT 533 tester
- Loosen the knurled thumb screw, fold the triggering bracket handle back and insert the bottle into the test bottle holder
- On insertion, check the alignment of the nozzle
- The nozzle must be aligned so that the test aerosol can escape from the centre of the tester outlet
- Fix the bottle in the tester by tightening the knurled thumb screw
- Proceed in reverse order to remove the bottle
