For secure and economical laying of ceramic coverings such as stoneware, earthenware, stoneware tiles (water absorption < 0.5 %), clinker brick, brick tiles and ceramic mosaic tiles. CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive is suitable for secure laying on all substrates in accordance with DIN 18157 Part 1, such as concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, suitable plaster, cement screed, calcium sulphate screed, heated screed, poured tarmac screed of hardness class IC10, masonry and gypsum plasterboard, as well as on old, firmly adhered tile coverings with a suitable primer. It is also suitable for bonding lightweight panels, such as dense-foam tile backer board. Suitable for laying tiles on CERAfix 301 compound sealant and dispersion-bonded CERAfix 302.
CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive can be used to level out uneven substrates on walls and floors up to a layer thickness of 15 mm before laying tiles.
In a clean container, mix CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive with tap water until there are no lumps.
Mixing ratio
- Pourable bed mortar: 10.0 to 10.5 litres of water: 15 kg of CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive
- Levelling filler: 7.4 to 7.9 litres of water: 15 kg of CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive
- Thin-bed mortar: 7.5 to 8.2 litres of water: 15 kg of CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive
When using CERAfix 403 PLUS light tile adhesive as a pourable-bed adhesive, start by mixing with approx. 8 litres of water, then gradually mix in the rest of the water until it reaches the consistency of a pourable bed. Leave the product to mature for 4 minutes, then stir again. Apply the adhesive mortar within the working time. Spread a flat layer of the mixed adhesive over the substrate and comb through with a notched trowel suitable for the panel size. Lay covering materials within the adhesive drying time (finger test).
