- Not suitable as a top surface without additional coverings or top surfaces!
- Be sure to add water in the appropriate quantities! Adding more water results in reduced strength and increased shrinkage. Such low-strength layers have a reduced load capacity; we therefore recommend removing them!
- Do not add water or fresh mortar to CERAfix 202 that has already started to harden to make it processable again. This may result in loss of strength!
- The properties of the substrate are essential when it comes to ensuring the successful application of the product; the substrate therefore must be carefully prepared, cleaned and primed!
- If the substrate dries too quickly, e.g. due to room heating, highly absorbent substrates, draughts, exposure to sunlight etc., there is a risk of cracking!
- The installation location must be ventilated. However, draughts and direct sunlight must be avoided during application and during the hardening process. The indoor and floor temperature must be at least 5 °C during application and for one week thereafter! Dehumidifiers must not be used in the first three days!
- Spent-sulphite adhesives or water-soluble floor covering adhesives must be completely removed!
- Mechanically remove as much as possible of any old, water-resistant floor covering adhesives. Small amounts of dispersion-based water-resistant floor covering adhesives (area percentage < 20 %/m², evenly distributed) can remain on the substrate. Clean the substrate and then prime it with CERAfix 103 or CERAfix 203, sprinkle with plenty of TEGAfix 430 quartz sand and vacuum after curing! Do not exceed a maximum single layer thicknesses of 60 mm!
- Not suitable for use on mastic asphalt screeds!
- In the case of calcium sulphate screeds, the CM moisture content must not exceed 0.5 % without underfloor heating or 0.3 % with underfloor heating at the time of levelling with CERAfix 202. Thoroughly prime with CERAfix 103 or CERAfix 203 and sprinkle with plenty of TEGAfix 430 quartz sand! After curing (approx. 16 hours), sweep off and vacuum up the excess quartz sand. Then level out the surface using CERAfix 202 in a layer thickness of up to max. 60 mm. Subsequent moisture ingress must be prevented.
- Contact between the cement-based mortar and the magnesite screed leads to deterioration of the magnesite screed due to the effect of magnesia expansion. Exposure to moisture from the substrate must be prevented using appropriate means. Magnesite substrates must be mechanically roughened and primed with CERAfix 103 or CERAfix 203 epoxy resin. Sprinkle plenty of 0.5-1.0 mm grit quartz sand across the fresh epoxy resin layer. After approx. 16 hours* waiting time, further laying work can take place. Do not exceed a maximum single layer thicknesses of 60 mm!
- Edge, field, building and movement joints must be observed. These must be retained or incorporated at the prescribed location and sealed off by suitable means, e.g. edge strips! Dummy joints must be carved out once the CERAfix 202 has hardened by up to a third of the applied layer thickness!
- Only use clean tools and clean water!
- To assess the covering's readiness, perform a moisture measurement using the CM device.
- The technical data sheets of the products used must be observed!
- Protect surfaces that do not require treatment from exposure to CERAfix 202!
- Currently applicable regulations must be observed!

Datasheets(X)
CERAfix 202 is used for filling uneven concrete ceiling, wall and floor surfaces in accordance with DIN 1045, plaster from mortar classes PII and PIII, masonry with heated and unheated cement screeds in accordance with DIN 18560 and quick-drying cement screeds. CERAfix 202 can be used outdoors, in swimming pools and in environments subjected to moisture when used with a corresponding Würth compound sealant. CERAfix 202 is applied in layer thicknesses of 2-60 mm.
- 1. Prime the substrates to be filled, generally using either CERAfix 101 or CERAfix 102 in a mixing ratio of 1:3 with water. Sand, clean stable, ceramic coverings and smooth cementitious substrates and prime with CERAfix 103 or CERAfix 203. Spread with plenty of fresh 0.5-1.0 mm grit quartz sand. Brush off and vacuum after curing!
- 2. Add 25 kg of CERAfix 202 to 4.7-5.0 l of water and mix into a lump-free, smooth and stable compound. We recommend using a Würth agitator at a speed of approx. 500-700 rpm. Leave to mature briefly, then stir again. Mixing time: Approx. 3 to 5 minutes.
- 3. Next, prepare a contact filler using the material and apply it to the primed substrate in the required layer thickness, either by spreading or harling. Level according to the levelling requirements.
- 4. Depending on the ambient conditions, the layer thickness and substrate can be rubbed and smoothed with a damp sponge float after approx. 50-90 minutes. Additional layers can be applied when the first layer is stable, but is still visibly moist. If the first layer appears to be dry, apply an intermediate primer layer of CERAfix 101 or CERAfix 102.
- 5. CERAfix 202 must be protected from direct sunlight, high temperatures, draughts and similar influences that would cause rapid water extraction during drying. CERAfix 202 can be covered with tiles and panels after approx. 4 hours*. For other surface coverings, use a CM device to check the residual moisture. The moisture content must comply with the permitted residual moisture content stated in the most recent technical leaflets. Perform CM measurements in accordance with the most recent version of the "Interface coordination for heated floor constructions" specialist information.
Substrate
- The substrate must be solid, load bearing, clean, dry and free from any adhesion-impairing substances. Remove any materials or coatings that impair adhesion, such as layers of sinter, dust, oil etc., using suitable measures, such as blasting, milling, vacuuming and/or degreasing. Remove low-strength areas down to the stable core.
- The substrate must have sufficient load-bearing capacity for the active loads, see DIN 1055. For screeds on separating or insulating layers, check that the surface is ready for covering before applying CERAfix 202 to prevent the screed panel from deforming during the shrinking process. Shrinkage should be prevented as far as possible. The CM moisture content must not exceed 2.0 CM% for cement screeds on insulation or a separation breather, 0.5 CM% for calcium sulphate screeds without underfloor heating and 0.3 CM% for calcium sulphate screeds with underfloor heating. Prevent exposure to additional moisture.
- During application and in the week after, the temperature of the air, material and substrate must be at least +5 °C.
