This stainless steel reinforcement incl. force absorption is required if you are using the Weight OnTop Double as an end support or bend support in a safety harness system. In just a few simple steps, the ABS Weight OnTop Double is set up for the increased stress in the corner elements of a safety harness system.
In principle, this anchor point can also be used without a support tube as a simple intermediate support, just like its "little brother": ABS Weight OnTop.
