The consumption quantities given are calculated values that do not account for surface roughness and absorbency, levelling or residual material in the container. We always recommend adding a 10 % safety margin to the calculated consumption figures. Higher temperatures reduce the working time. Lower temperatures increase the working time and curing time. Material consumption also increases at low temperatures. Exposure to moisture and contamination between individual work steps can severely impair the adhesion between the different layers. The substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point when applying coatings. If there is an extended period between coats, or if surfaces that have already been treated with liquid synthetic resins are to be recoated after a long period of time, the old surface must be thoroughly cleaned and sanded. The surface must then be completely recoated to ensure that there are no pores. Ensure good ventilation during the drying and curing phase.
Avoid applying excessively thick layers (additional material consumption) for each coat. This leads to cracks developing and, in some cases, spalling and extends the time between coats.
Clean all equipment with suitable solvents immediately after use.
The colour may differ slightly between different production batches and due to variations in raw materials. Use the same production batch within the same section (same batch number on the delivery container).
Surface protection systems must be protected from moisture (e.g. rain, dew) for approx. 4-6 hours after application. Exposure to moisture will cause whitening and/or tackiness of the surface and may impair the curing process. Discoloured and/or tacky surfaces must be removed by e.g. sanding or abrasive blasting and recoated. Abrasive stress can scratch the surface, which is especially visible on dark colours. This does not affect the function. We recommend regularly maintaining the surface with suitable cleaning and care products to prolong the surface quality and finish.
Refer to the technical data sheets for the products listed here before starting work.

Cured product residues can be disposed of in accordance with waste code AVV 15 01 06.
Used for sealing mineral floor surfaces, magnesia screeds, calcium sulphate screeds and well-sealed poured tarmac screeds, e.g. in warehouses, garages, workshops, cellars and internal rooms.
The surfaces to be treated must be dry with ≤ 5 % residual moisture (CM method), firm, load-bearing and non-slip. Free from loose and adhesion-reducing substances, e.g. dust, grease, rubber abrasion etc.
Add component B to component A. Ensure that the entire hardener flows out of its container. Mix the material thoroughly with an appropriate stirrer to a homogeneous consistency. The mixing time is 3 minutes. Do not process the mixed material straight from the container it was supplied in. Decant the compound into a clean mixing bucket and stir again thoroughly.
Primer
- Thin CERAfix 108 with 8 % to max. 10 % water
- Apply the material in one step (cross coat) with a coating and sealing roller (approx. 6 mm pile height)
Compensating compound/scratch coat
- Mix CERAfix 108 with quartz sand (grit 0.1-0.35 mm) in a mixture ratio 1.0 : 0.5 parts by weight
- Mix the quartz sand into the previously homogeneously mixed and decanted resin and hardener compound. Ensure that the liquid and solid components are mixed evenly.
- The finished mixture is applied to the primed surface in one step in a layer thickness of max. 2 mm using the scratch coat method. Ventilate the applied compensating compound/scratch coat several times with a suitable spiked roller
- After hardening, rework any unevenness with 100 grit sandpaper without scoring and suction off
Topcoat
- CERAfix 108 is applied on the primer or scratch coat crosswise in one to two steps with a coating and sealing roller (approx. 6 mm pile height) in a rolling process
- Consumption: approx. 300-350 g/m² per step
